Artificial Intelligence in Light of Fratelli Tutti

CAPP-Canada Panel co-sponsored by the Newman Centre of McGill University's Marguerite d'Youville Lecture Series, March 27, 2025

Artificial Intelligence is a field that is shaping the future of our societies in profound ways. The conference was not only to discuss technological advancements but also to reflect on their ethical and social implications.

Three speakers Paul Mullen, Dr Cory Andrew Labrecque and Dr Danielle Morin, presented on different issues related to AI. We examined certain concerns like who is controlling its development, the illusion of relationships and the impact of AI in education.

A very fruitful discussion period followed. For many attendees, it was an eye opener, as they realized how powerful AI can be and the challenges it could represent for our society. About 90 people attended the conference, with 60 in person and 30 followed on Zoom.

A video recording of this panel will be available soon on our YouTube channel and website.
