Being a Business Leader in Uncertain Times: Evaluating Our Practices in light of Catholic Social Teaching

CAPP-Canada hosted a first fully francophone event in Montreal on June 4, featuring Romain Lavault, General Partner at Partech and member of the CAPP-France chapter.  Fifty people filled the adoration chapel at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral for a 7 am mass, and then enjoyed a breakfast-conference at the nearby Vargas Steakhouse and Sushi, which opened exceptionally outside normal hours for this event.

In a lively dialogue with CAPP-Canada Coordinator Danielle Morin, Romain highlighted how writing Chef d’entreprise en temps incertain (Being a Business Leader in Uncertain Times), in collaboration with fellow chapter members, helped him move from a theoretical knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching in action to a deeper unity of life anchored in prayer and presence of God. This was one of the most appreciated aspects of his wide-ranging dialogue with Danielle and the audience, a recording of which is available on our YouTube channel.
